Businessman Paul Wiedemann reserved the whole cruiser from Hamburg to New york to celebrate his first wedding anniversary 'initmately', their only regret being she can't conceive. His ex however keeps calling insisting they must meet, as later turns out because she hasn't long to live and needs him to commit to her darling boy Benny, whom she never told him before is his son too and ignores so like him. On the way the M/S Berlin picks up silver spoon yacht owner Daniel Berger and his buddy Tom Richter, who was wounded while diving. Tom is to meet his New York beloved after three years, but aboard falls in love with crew-member Corrina Ernst. Marine biologist Clemens Kohl is aboard to hold lectures on sea turtles, but also brought a pet giant as stowaway to release in Bahia, which the doc finds out. Meanwhile the crew prepares a 30 years service anniversary.
