David Main's company have handled the legal affairs of a union for years but this is jeopardized when corrupt union leader Allan Whittaker asks for a backhander or the contract will be lost. Whittaker plays off management and workers for his own benefit but matters take a very serious turn when worker and former strike leader Joe Brown loses a hand in an apparent industrial accident.
