A couple of famous people dress up in a costume, so nobody knows who they are. They then start to sing a few songs and the judges, but also the audience at home, have to guess who the person in the costume is. Every week there will be a person that has to go home, and therefore immediately has to reveal him- or herself, until there is only one person left, who will then be the winner of the season.
