    85 Whistle Test 86In the course of the next five-and-a-half-hours BBC2 takes you out of 1985 and into the New Year in the company of some of the world's top rock musicians. 8.5 The Band Aid Story Food and Trucks and Rock 'n'Roll At the end of 1984 in a small studio in London's Notting Hill Gate Bob Geldof , Midge Ure and a group of friends got together to record 'Do they know it's Christmas?'. All proceeds from the record's sale were to help relieve the Ethiopian famine. The song became the biggest-selling UK single of all time - Band Aid was born. The film follows Band Aid's meteoric rise through events like Live Aid and Fashion Aid till today it stands as one of the major forces in African famine relief.
