Freddie the StarCowboy star Rex Allen is atypically cast as the villain in the filmed comedy sketch "Freddie the Star." Thanks to an obscure western movie in which appeared years earlier, hobo Freddie the Freeloader (Red Skelton) finds himself a TV hero-and the idol of American youth. A jealous Hollywood rival (Allen) tries to eliminate the competition by challenging Freddie to a series of endurance tests, culminating in an old-fashioned showdown.
