Episode 1The first episode focuses on a particularly magical time – the birth of a new pet. For the happy owners, this can also be a period of worry, however, as the vulnerable young creatures can fall prey to any number of potential problems in their first days in a brand new world. The programme follows three new litters of puppies, kittens and piglets, all of which will continue to be monitored throughout the series. Secret cameras capture the special moments following the births, as protective new mother Gypsy cares for her young puppies. Elsewhere, cat Pandy gives birth to a litter of four kittens, while Kew the pig potters around awaiting the arrival of her piglets. Once they are born, they waste no time scrapping over their mother’s milk.
