Following appalling grades the school is threatened with closure and the pupils dispersed until it is discovered that Bart has yet to sit his exam, which, if he passes, will save the school's future. He is very nervous but, with the accidental help of his pet beetle, manages to make the grade. Homer meanwhile discovers a parking meter, which he uses illegally to make money until Marge makes him donate the profits to a good cause.
