Charlie and Jo have been at the Wheatleys for a year and,with Laura and the kids going out for the evening,Caroline cooks Charlie a romantic dinner,during which he becomes violently ill. She fears she has poisoned him but he has appendicitis and is rushed to hospital. As he is wheeled into the operating theatre he tells Caroline he loves her. Next day,as he recovers, they both find it best to forget it that it was ever said.
