Caroline and Charlie are off to a school parents' evening but Laura has a date so Jo persuades them that she can baby-sit Tom. Unfortunately Tom drops one of Laura's ear-rings down the sink so Jo gets Rick,the class hunk,to come round and retrieve it,prompting her envious classmates to turn up. Arriving home early Charlie is not happy to see a full house though Caroline is surprisingly forgiving.
