Episode 1Dog owner Louise brings her poorly westie Duffy to Boroughbridge where, assisted by his wife and colleague Anne, Julian Norton faces one of his most challenging surgeries. Elsewhere, Peter races to an emergency lambing. Farmer Phil's ewe is expecting triplets, but has been unable to deliver two of them due to complications. Episode 2Peter Wright reflects on a much loved farming couple, Jean and Steve Green. They were married 40 years ago and are looking forward to their anniversary vow renewal. Jean is moved to tears when Julian arrives with an anniversary present. Finally, as the big day arrives, the couple prepare to walk down the aisle again - Episode 3E3
Episode 3Julian gets the call that all vets fear - a young cow has had a baby and prolapsed her entire uterus. This is a rare and life-threatening situation that is difficult for both vet and animal. Peter meets Jemima, a little duck with a big attitude, then comes face to face with his old friend Snakee, a constipated corn snake whose problems have resurfaced. - Episode 4E4
Episode 4Julian is treating a pregnant ewe in distress when another animal on the same farm goes into labour, producing twins - one of which is in breach. Peter tries to find out the cause of a black labrador's mysterious tumour, while Helen has a very unusual patient - a rhea that has damaged a wing during an overenthusiastic start to the mating season. - Episode 6E6
Episode 6Julian races to help a horse that has suffered a painful injury. Teal has a large gash on his neck, and owner Lisa has no idea how it happened. Tux is a black Labrador with a nasty-looking mouth tumour. Peter has removed similar lumps from Tux before, but now the cancer has returned, so they are heading for the operating theatre once more. - Episode 7E7
Episode 7Peter rushes to an emergency lambing at Rolland Norris' farm. When he arrives, he realises a ewe has prolapsed while trying to give birth. He later meets a goat named Buddy, who has come to the practice in Thirsk to get the dreaded `snip'. It sounds simple, but Peter discovers that Buddy's anatomy is somewhat non-standard in this area, and he will need to operate to complete his task. At Boroughbridge, Julian looks after pampered pug Ffion, who has taken playtime a bit too far and badly broken his leg. Julian needs to screw a plate onto the bones to allow it to heal, but it's a tricky job. - Episode 9E9
Episode 9Julian Norton is called out to see a big bull with the largest abscess he has ever encountered. Julian has to lance and drain it, knowing he is about to unleash a waterfall of smelly, infected pus. Meanwhile Peter Wright is called to an emergency at Debbie's stables - her horse McCoy has a mysterious cut that won't heal.
