Duck is sent to Edward's station and feels that all the engines dislike him. Edward helps to cheer Duck up by working together. The work goes well until the troublesome trucks uncouple from Edward and push Duck off the rails causing an accident. Duck soon returns home to the yard where the engines now like him.
