Larry visits the kids' apartment one day, feeling down and depressed. While Jack and Chrissy are out, Larry reveals his problems to Janet, telling her that he was rejected by a girl. Janet consoles him and, as Larry leaves, blows him a kiss from across the room. This leaves Larry thinking that Janet is in love with him. After Larry tells Jack that he is in love with Janet, Jack coaches her in how to deal with Larry.
