Ostensible milquetoast Maynard Thispin plans on killing his cold, overbearing and stingy wife, unaware a pair of nosy sisters across the street have just killed a man themselves. Maynard has a cozy love-nest planned for himself and a young paramour named Babs but his overbearing and penurious wife of 27 years is a hindrance to his plans. So the would-be Lothario hastens his plan of removing Mrs. Thispin from his life.
