Many imagine the land of milk and honey as a tropical Garden of Eden, as a green, warm jungle in which nobody needs clothes and meals fall from the trees. An idea of paradise that is identical to the clichés of the tropics. The oppressive sultriness of the dark sides, squadrons of insects, wild animals and deadly diseases are hidden.
