It was in this very region that the now-famous hominid skeleton, Lucy, was discovered. Alberto Angela recounts the exciting stages of its discovery. The Rift Valley created unique environments, including the savannah, as well as spectacular lakes, gigantic waterfalls, and boiling volcanoes.
