Lele leaves for Australia while Alice, who will soon join her husband, is in Brazil. At university, Maria meets Guido, a brilliant doctor who is looking for a place to live and will be hired by the new director of the local health authority.

Maria is fascinated by Guido, but the doctor seems completely uninterested in her. Meanwhile, Ciccio, after a prank that nearly ended in tragedy, attempts to escape from Lele in Australia.
