After stopping work for the day, Luna goes to wash her hands in the lake. As she remembers the other times she saw strange visions while in the lake, she suddenly sees a vision showing a journey down a river into the Eastern Forest, and a voice telling her to come. That night, she tells the others about her desire to go there, and Howard and Bell volunteer to join her. Bell and Luna build a raft out of bamboo, while Howard makes a bow. Shingo and Menori are working the field, until Shingo suddenly collapses. They leave him to rest in the shade of the Magnificent Tree, and he sits starting at a photo of his family.
