The heroic life of Dzhulbars, who became the most famous dog of the Great Patriotic War, is overgrown with legends: from awarding him the medal "For Military Merit" to Stalin's order to carry a seriously wounded dog at the Victory Parade on the Generalissimo's personal tunic. Through the life path of Dzhulbars, viewers will also see the story of the complex front-line love of his mentors: the mature, stern and unsociable commander of the dog detachment Alexander Mazover and the young, artistic and courageous dog breeder Dina Volkats.
