No one really knows what’s going on with Donald Trump and Russia. That’s why the FBI launched the first multi-agency, counterintelligence investigation on a sitting president. Congress has promised to hold its own hearings too. Former FBI special agent and national security expert Clint Watts testified in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee last week about Russian interference in the U.S. election and alleged ties between the country and the current administration. He joins VICE News at our Brooklyn headquarters Monday to answer questions about how FBI investigations work, Russia’s attempts to influence elections around the world, and of course, President Trump. While testifying to the Senate, Watts gave some advice: to understand foreign influence in the election, “follow the trail of dead Russians.” And as a scholar of Russian digital propaganda, he co-authored “Trolling for Trump,” a book about Russia’s information war against America, published in November.
