The he goes to the place where Lagertha, Bjorn, and Ubbe are hidden and offers shelter to them and makes a surprising revelation to Lagertha and Bjorn. However Lagertha decides to accept the offer of Bishop Heahmund and go to England with him. - Murder Most Foul

Ivar decides to take Freydis as his wife, and she promises a son to him. Bishop Heahmund requests his position back to King Alfred, but he learns that it has been given to Lord Cuthred, who threatens Heahmund after discovering that Heahmund and Lagertha are having a love affair. - The Lost Moment

Aethelred participates in a scheme to overthrow his brother and kill Heahmund and the pagans. Floki has a vision of a spirit who indicates where her body is. The Seer sees the darkness coming. Ivar unsuccessfully tries to force the Seer to tell people that Ivar is a god. - Hell

Meanwhile, Queen Judith tortures one conspirator and finds out who the leader of the plot to overthrow her son Alfred is. - What Happens in the Cave
