Mikhail, having studied Kseniya's situation, is very surprised that she for so many years was not at all interested in the finances of the family and blindly trusted her husband. The lawyer advises not to rush to confess and prepare well: find out the situation by any means and for now pretend that everything is fine with her husband. Kseniya and all friends are present at the official opening of Sergey's project. Sergey thanks his wife for her help and moral support - without her he would not have succeeded. During the ceremony, Kseniya now and then catches the tender glances of Roman and later asks to help her deal with the accounts, hinting that she would not mind having dinner with him alone.
