The dead body of Jelle, a boy with Down syndrome, is pulled out of the city pond. The trace soon leads to Circus Monelly. Jelle was often there and also had some friends. But Witse comes to know that the boy was not loved by everyone. When some of the neighbors start to interfere with the investigation, the case gets out of control.
