Emily takes charge of preparing for the competition and, with Marianne's support, chooses an important text from Haitian literature. Jacob, absent from rehearsals, is actively searching for the car that was stolen from him, which belongs to the manager of the bar where he works. Due to his absence and lack of preparation, rehearsals for the competition selection are disastrous. Marianne seems to have lost faith, and Emily is extremely disappointed. The police are closing in on Lionel, while Nathalie discovers that she has been lied to about her father.
