After meeting with Tamerlane, Gosha returns to Anton without money, but with bad news. "Caravan" was supposed to accompany Takay, but at the last moment Tamerlane decided to play it safe and ordered to send Gosha or Anton instead of Takay. The geologist refuses - he must leave for Moscow, where he will be appointed deputy director of the plant.
