In Meiji Era Japan, Yuugiri moves to the former location of Saga Castle, where its citizens idolize her but keep their distance due to her former occupation as a famous oiran. One day, she happens upon Kiichi Momozaki, a local young man who is determined to restore Saga's name following the prefecture's dissolution in the Meiji Restoration. Kiichi becomes smitten with Yuugiri and later visits her to offer a gift.
