One in five children in Sweden is exposed to sexual abuse at some point during their childhood, and in parts of the world the numbers are even higher. The World Childhood Foundation was founded in 1999 by Queen Silvia to protect children's right to a safe childhood free from violence and sexual abuse. A five-part documentary that provides a unique insight into the Queen's commitment to Childhood. In the series, viewers will also meet a number of enthusiasts who have dedicated their lives to making a difference for children. Police officers, researchers, doctors and people who were victims of sexual abuse during childhood talk about their commitment.
