I spent my PhD asking people why they stay up lateI spent five years researching bedtime procrastination, and this is the most unexpected thing I found. If you've doom-scrolled past midnight knowing you'll regret it, you're in good company! It's really common. And a lot of the standard advice (just go to bed earlier; put your phone in another room) misses what's actually going on. In this video I unpack two of my own studies [citations and links below].
