For almost a year, SVT's crime reporters Karin Fagerlund and Lasse Lampers have followed the investigation into 21-year-old Tove Tönnies death in Vetlanda - from Tove's disappearance to the verdict against two young women in the Court of Appeal. In their search for answers, Karin and Lasse meet investigators, prosecutors and lawyers and review the details of the investigation. They also meet neighbors, acquaintances and others involved to get to the bottom of what really happened and how it affected Vetlanda as a community.

E1BrottetTove is reported missing after just one night out. Quickly, two young women who are familiar with Tove becomes suspicious and after several weeks of searching, Tove is found dead. Police, investigators and neighbors tell us about the evening when Tove died and the following weeks. The reporters at the Vetlanda Post describe how society was affected and representatives of Missing People talk about how everyone joined the search for Tove. - Utredningen
E2UtredningenThe police investigators manage to tie the two young women to Tove's death and they finally admit that Tove died when they were with her. The interrogators describe the decisive hearings and police technicians talk about how they managed to find the body. When the prosecution is filed, it turns out that the crime committed was far more serious than what was previously known. - Rättegångarna
E3RättegångarnaAt the trial in the district court, the younger woman blames Tove's death on her older comrade. Instead, the elderly points out the younger as a complicit. The district court sentences them both to life for murder - but the defense lawyers have serious objections to the prosecutor's evidence and the forensic investigation and appeals to the High Court. In the High Court, the whole case then takes a dramatic turn.
