Episode 1Nina is interviewed by George and meets Max and Joe for the first time at Gloucester Crescent.

Episode 2Nina is too busy reading to notice that the boys have vanished and is grateful to Nunney for retrieving them - though he will not let her forget it. She nonetheless asks him for a date but it is a somewhat awkward one, given her rather defensive attitude towards him - ending with him loaning her some books. She does however save the situation when Ursula catches George and the boys putting things in her skip by blaming Malcolm.

Episode 3A series of chance encounters with Nunney convince Nina that their relationship must be fated. Meanwhile, Joe seems unwell so Nina reads to him from a book Nunney lent her, pretending it's Enid Blyton.

Episode 5When Nina accidentally crashes George’s car she sets in chain a series of mishaps that may lead to her leaving the house for good.
