A furious Ridge informs Thorne that his wife crossed the line in her doctor-patient-relationship with Dr. Warwick. Thorne suggests for Ridge to speak with his wife before making assumptions about what she did or did not do. Meanwhile, Taylor has a lengthy phone conversation with James who presses her to test Ridge's devotion to her. Connor visits Brooke at Big Bear to discuss her wild plan to relinquish control over Forrester Creations back to the Forresters. Brooke feels like she made her mark by successfully launching a men's line - and that she is hurting Eric with the current situation. An angry Taylor calls Brooke desperate for believing that Ridge is interested in her romantically. Brooke refuses to accept that Ridge's only interest is her stock in the company and throws Taylor out. Karen accidentally finds out that Brooke is considering giving back the company to the Forresters. Connor explains to her that Ridge has Brooke completely snowed. On a more personal note, Connor expresses that he finally wants to make love to Karen. Karen explains that she would love to - but only after they have done an AIDS test. Meanwhile, Eric and Ridge learn from their head of human resources, Chester Kline, that Forrester Creations is having quality issues in production due to a lock of morale in the staff after the takeover. An agitated Brooke does not waste any time to ask a very pressing question: has he been playing her again like Taylor claims? Ridge stresses that he is sincere; she is very important to him. Brooke pressures Ridge to admit that he wants her to give back the company to his father. He tries to convince her that this has no bearing on their relationship. Suddenly, power goes out at the cabin. Kevin is sad to see Macy in such a distraught state at work and wonders if there is a way how he could cheer her up. Meanwhile, Anthony confronts Keith over the mix up with the see-though-fabric-samples. Keith denies any foul play. Sally thinks that Macy's relationship with Thorne is broken. Ridge calls Thorne from his new cellular to let him know that a power outage is keeping him with Brooke and the kids at the Big Bear cabin. In L.A., Thorne asks Taylor to join him for dinner. At Café Russe, Taylor is shocked to find out that Ridge is up in the mountains with Brooke. Later, Taylor and Ridge fall into each other's arms at home. Thorne realizes that leaving Macy for a month is a mistake and that he should have worked on his marriage instead. #1719James returns from Europe and has a visitor waiting for him at his apartment: Jack. Taylor's father urges James to get a new psychiatrist and stay away from his daughter. James explains that his recovery is a continuing process - and that he has no intention to harm Taylor's marriage. At the Forrester Estate, Taylor apologizes to Ridge for causing a scene with Brooke. She confesses to him that she fears that she is losing him. Ridge forgives Taylor and agrees with her that they need a fresh start. They kiss when James calls to reveals that he is back in Los Angeles and needs to see her tomorrow. Ridge's mood grows sour in an instant. Sally is curious to find out how Anthony's date with Macy went. Karen also questions Macy whether she had a nice evening with Spectra's new designer. Macy admits that she feels attracted to Anthony, yet she considers herself still a married woman. Later, Macy and Anthony run into each other by accident and review their time at Café Russe. #1720It's a new day in L.A., but Ridge's position about Taylor having to end her counseling commitment with James is firm. She explains that she cannot just drop him. Later, James has a therapy session with Taylor in which he breaks the shocking news that his girlfriend Sophia is dead. Taylor is not surprised when James confesses that Sophia was not real and a mere creation of his mind. Now, that he faced his daemons, James feels liberated and no longer needed her. They embrace. Sally pays Stephanie an unexpected visit to discuss the broken marriage of their children. Sally claims that the separation has been good for Macy - and therefore she pleads with Stephanie to convince Thorne that it is time to file for divorce. Stephanie is surprised about Sally's request and refuses to interfere. Thorne inquires with Karen about Macy's feelings for Anthony. Karen is reluctant to reveal that the two have been enjoying each other's company recently. Taylor worries that James wants more than just a platonic bond and therefore explains that they cannot see each other anymore. James thinks that it is obvious that Taylor's decision is involuntarily. At Spectra Fashions, Anthony encourages Karen to step in as a model for him. He uses the occasion to fish more information about Macy's interest in him.
