    King Mike McDonaldMike McDonald was one of the first true organised Crime Bosses and is credited to having laid the foundations for the rise of the Irish Mob throughout America. At the beginning of the 20th century Mike McDonald controlled everything in Chicago from politicians and judges to gambling licences and liquor licences. He was indeed recognised as the King of Chicago at the time.

    Dion O'BanionDion O'Banion led the Northside Gang in Chicago during the early years of prohibition. A man of contradictions - he was a devoted husband, a flower shop owner and part-time crooner but he was also a ruthless mobster and bootlegger directly responsible for a string of murders. He was the iconic Irish mobster that would become the model for James Cagney and Warner Brothers studios when they created their cinematic gangsters.
  • Owney "Killer" Madden

    Owney "Killer" MaddenOwney Madden grew up on the mean streets of Hell's Kitchen, New York where he earned the title very quickly as Owney the Killer - Duke of the West Side. When it came to kill or be killed Owney had no problem shooting first. Madden rose to power in the Irish mob during the prohibition years and he took full advantage of it.

    Jack "Legs" DiamondJack 'Legs' Diamond blazed a trail across Prohibition-era New York and across many a tabloid headline, he was known as the 'The Most Picturesque Racketeer in the Underworld' and the 'Most Publicised of Public Enemies'.

    John "Cockeye" DunnJohn'Cockeye' Dunn terrorised the New York waterfront (inspiring the character of Johnny Friendly in the classic 1954 film 'On the Waterfront'). The history of the waterfront is a violent story of corruption, greed and murder and there was no man as ruthless as John Cockeye Dunn before finally meeting his end in the electric chair at Sing Sing.

    Danny GreeneDanny Greene was an Irish union racketeer who tried to wrestle control of organised crime in Cleveland during the early 70s. Known as 'The Celtic Warrior' he led a long running bloody war with the Cleveland Mafia throughout the 70's which finally led to his death in the late 70s when a massive car bomb blew him to pieces.
