E2Der PudelkaiserA little girl digs up a hand on the beach in Travemünde. It belongs to the body of Björn Aufderheide, who had spent the weekend with his bowling club at the Strandidylle Hotel. Finn Kiesewetter and Sandra Schwartenbeck learn that the victim wasn't particularly popular. However, various members of the bowling club had a vested interest in getting on his good side and thus had a motive to get rid of him. The Westerbeck couple, who were there with their hyperactive son Ole, seem to have secrets. Aufderheide, who owned quite a bit of land, designated them as his heirs. Why? Farmer and alcoholic Rüdiger Ziesemer, also a member of the bowling club, signed over his heavily indebted farm to Aufderheide in order to obtain a loan from him. Wouldn't he also have a reason to get rid of the unpleasant bowling buddy? Detective Inspector Englen has received a letter from his wife Stefanie. She has a new boyfriend. His nerves are frayed, and he's seeking closeness to his ex, Elke Rasmussen. Finn's aunts Ria and Toni have decided to close the tea shop and move apart. It's a good thing that Finn is now moving into the Fischerkate. Sandra is also currently dealing with a personal matter: She and her fiancé Holger are building a house. First, a seagull drops a finger into a tourist's beer glass, and then a dead woman with missing fingers is recovered from the banks of the Trave River. According to pathologist Strahl, the body had been lying in the water for at least two days. Initially, the dead woman's identity was difficult to determine. Her wedding ring finally puts investigators on the right track. She worked as a tour guide in Lübeck, is married to a carpenter, and has a 19-year-old son. Who had an interest in killing the woman? Perhaps the somewhat eccentric tour guide Lenker or her jealous husband, who, however, has a solid alibi? Things aren't going well at Finn Kiesewetter and Elke Rasmussen's house: Finn's ex-girlfriend Susanne from Uckermark has announced her visit. Unfortunately, Finn forgot to tell Elke. Elke then tries to make Finn jealous with her ex-husband Lars Englen. He immediately misunderstands this and hopes for a renewed rapprochement with her. To make matters worse, Aunt Ria is arrested for releasing 3,000 minks during a nighttime animal protection operation. During their investigation into the deceased's environment, it emerged that his only living relative, his brother Karl Denzer, was heavily in debt due to his wife's illness and could use the money. During their questioning, the brother told the two police officers that Kuno Denzer was still involved in shady dealings and surrounded himself with dubious characters. Finn's supervisor, Lars Englen, and his colleague, Schroeter, also expressed similar suspicions about Kuno Denzer. They were simultaneously working on a series of burglaries in which, apart from the stolen items, there were no signs of a break-in. When investigators learn that Kuno Denzer withdrew EUR200,000 of his winnings in small bills from his bank shortly before his death, all the evidence points to a robbery-murder. But Finn has a feeling there's more to the whole thing. And his instincts rarely deceive him. - Auge um Auge
E9Auge um AugeDuring a secret rendezvous on the decommissioned cutter "Wilhelmina," a couple makes a gruesome discovery in a locker: the mummified body of a man with a glass eye. Finn Kiesewetter and his team determine that the dead man's name is Klaas Ehlers, who until two years ago worked in the accounting department of the Hansen shipping company, to which the old ship belongs. In the pathology department, Strahl determines that Ehlers has been dead for over a year. He was locked in the locker after a blow to the head and died of thirst. The sympathetic shipping company boss, Hansen, who has been wheelchair-bound since a serious accident and was abandoned by his wife shortly thereafter, seems to have no memory of his former employee. Hansen is worried about his mentally ill twelve-year-old daughter Klara, who hasn't spoken a word for two years. What role does Britta Ehlers, the victim's ex-wife, play, who left accountant Ehlers for the African woman Elizette Mukabi? Elizette's behavior is also strange: she never reported her partner missing. Who had a reason to kill Ehlers? The interrogations don't really get the investigators anywhere. While Lars Englen is convinced of Britta Ehlers's guilt, Finn continues to investigate in every direction. His persistence eventually leads him to the trail of the perpetrator. However, tensions are high between Finn and Elke Rasmussen. She accuses him of not really committing to their relationship and not wanting to move in with her. Sandra Schwartenbeck discovers that only two people have a key to the room: the museum director, who has a watertight alibi, and caretaker Karl Jessen, who, like his 16-year-old daughter, has not been found. Since no signs of a break-in have been found at the Holsten Gate, caretaker Jessen is a prime suspect. Finn Kiesewetter and Sandra Schwartenbeck embark on an investigation into the scene. Their path leads them to the nightclub "Route 66," where they meet Kerstin Bramsche. The black-haired prostitute worked as a dominatrix for the murdered pimp. Will her testimony help the investigative team? And what role does the sinister Colombian who appeared in front of the nightclub play? Elke Rasmussen's move to Finn's is a done deal and the dominant topic among her colleagues. The moving boxes are already packed. Finn has to go to a farm; a young woman has been found dead in a field. She was killed with a heavy open-end wrench, the kind used to repair old farm machinery. Questioning of the deceased Anna Bruns's family reveals that she married the much older farmer Karl Bruns just a few weeks ago. They are an unusual couple and met through the television show "Farmer in Love." Farmer Bruns is deeply shaken. His mother, who doesn't speak kindly of her daughter-in-law during police questioning, still lives with him on the farm. But would she have even had the strength to murder the young woman? The investigation also focuses on Anton Mohr, the Bruns' friend and neighbor, who played Karl's rival on the television show and lost. Jealousy and envy are strong motives for murder. And apparently, there was another point of contention between the two friends: Due to the planning of a major road construction project, their land had suddenly increased in value. Anton was willing to sell, but Karl wasn't. And someone else had a strong interest in Anna: Before her marriage, she had worked as an intern at the small private broadcaster "Holstein TV." Finn Kiesewetter and Sandra Schwartenbeck learn from a nurse that Daniela Unger attacked her colleague Kerstin Grube shortly before she lost consciousness. During her investigation, Sandra also notices anomalies in the hospital's roster: Kerstin Grube and Dr. Unger work together noticeably often. Are they having an affair? In the same trash can where Sandra found the crumpled roster, forensics finds a bottle of poisoned water. This bottle comes from the surgeon's office, as he is the only one who drinks this brand. Meanwhile, Elke Rasmussen discovers that an internal investigation is underway against Dr. Unger. He allegedly transplanted the donor liver, originally intended for Ute Niemann, into a private patient. The demolition expert responsible for the bomb discovery from the Second World War, Jan Schindler, claims to Finn and Lars that he had installed the barrier on the other side of the path. So someone would have to have misplaced it to provoke the explosion. Finn suspects that the "attack" was aimed at the weapons manufacturer and learns from him that only the family knew about his arrival that day. - Über Bord
E14Über BordExcitement in the port of Lübeck: The crew of a firefighting vessel pulled a dead man from the water. It quickly becomes clear that the sailor hadn't died in an accident, but rather a case of murder: During his examination of the dead man and his equipment, pathologist Dr. Strahl discovered that a safety rope on the small boat had been tampered with. The identity of the dead man is quickly established. He is Benny Kerber, an Olympic hopeful and member of the local sailing club. During the investigation, it emerges that although Benny was shortlisted for the German Olympic team, he had to beat his teammate Tim Landscheid. This means that Tim Landscheid had the most obvious motive for killing Benny. The president of the sailing club, Dr. Mannheimer, confirms the athletic ambition of the two young men to the two investigators, Finn Kiesewetter and Sandra Schwartenbeck, but cannot imagine that Tim would be capable of such an act. When the investigative duo tries to find Tim, he tries to escape. Sandra, who is able to stop him, now clearly knows that only Tim could have committed the crime; after all, he had the opportunity and a motive. Dr. Mannheimer, whose daughter died a year ago on a sailing trip with Tim and Benny, is taking over his defense. Meanwhile, prosecutor Elke Rasmussen is complaining of dizziness and nausea. Finn, who had originally wanted to buy a motorcycle, is now considering a station wagon, given the circumstances that are likely to arise.
