A team of inspectors investigates murders in and around the small Upper Bavarian town of Rosenheim, and they still have plenty of time to see idyllic landscapes and luxurious pre-alpine villas and enjoy sumptuous Bavarian fare with beer.

Chief Achziger was on site and investigates with Korbinian. Maximolian's wife wanted to divorce him and start over with a rival, but first set up a complex deal to buy exclusive rights on a new magic trick from him, which was handled fraudulently; a cover up was attempted.

Law firm partner Bodo Langmann may pay out the fresh widow Katharina, who inherits little else, but there's a fat life insurance and she would go empty if divorced.

Hofer and Hansen focus on fresh widow Karen Grabowski, who moved back in with father Michael Brammer, pending his costly divorce threat. Manuel recently named his lover and charity volunteer Marina Lermer his main heir. Other lover Carola Meissner was jealous. Horst Meissner was his business rival. The true crime scene proves revealing. Interim (and previous) controller Felix Seitz was too though by course-returning incumbent Patrizia Ortmann's taste.

He recently rowed with innkeeper Toni Burger, whose wife Iris had an affair with Jürgen. Hansen and Hofer hear Burger was around at the fatal time. The jewels are found in the home of brother in law Klaus von Ried. Chief Achtziger lets secretary Stockl assist Marie urgently preparing a fancy academy dinner, struggling with guest list changes, but Miriam's phone being diverted to controller Ortmann doesn't help preventing rare chaos in the precinct.

Hansen and Stadler examine possible motives and opportunities among the host, dancing partner, kin and other personal relationships, which prove complicated and even deceitful, including infidelity.

Local branch baker Jens Breuer hides a relevant relationship.

Both firm and family were in trouble, also due to adultery, and the team takes a special interest into filing for a filter system patent.

Juror and former winner Antonia Bichler disqualifies precinct secretary Miriam Stockl, whose open fury makes her a suspect when Bichler's corpse is found in Alexander Reubens's agricultural machines firm. Antonia was hired instead of his late father's retired lover, whose present lover Lars Wintrich has his won secrets.

    Sprung in den TodFit veterinarian Jan Bader made a fatal parachute fall, anesthetic-drugged in the presence of instructor Lukas Scharf, practice owner Max Sendlinger and his wife Anja, whose latest semi-public lover Jan was. Bader's home was vandalized by grumpy farmer client Josef Obermoser. Hansen and Stadker finds out Jan got suspicious recent pay raises and their practice failed to report numerous agricultural offenses.

He was competing in a modern GPS-coached treasure hunt game ('geo caching'). Heir is his brother and restaurant Seeblick's chef, Theo Himmelreich, who had gambling debts. Impulsive Martin recently gave firing notice to his bride Emmi Müller as manager. Neither has a solid alibi, nor the accountant Robert Hölzl. The restaurant was in suspicious financial trouble, due to fraud. Michi can't concentrate, unable to properly instruct the painter for his home, Seitz volunteers to go round but gets his wires crossed.

Senile retired realtor Karl Kerber is found asphyxiated in the house he shares with nephew Dr. Herbert Kerber, who points at nurse Rosi Bühler for the murder and stealing the recently found-out cash stash. Karl's recently changed will transferred everything from his old lover, tax and investment consultant Marga Tumblinger, to Rosie, but is fake. The proceeds of an old crime brings in another motive.

The police team looks into the bad marriage, finds the dirt in Judith's firm and an unexpected lover. Elena's lover, waiter Max Offinger, is also vetted, and a theft tied in.

Agent Egon Schwarz found his work great but hard to sell due to his attitude, yet he ordered a new car with a fat down-payment, paid from a foreign account. Dahl grimy rivaled (also for wife Katrin Dahl) artists colony neighbor sculptor Xaver Steglmann. Dahl's last call was with contractor Martin Höfner, who claims Dahl postulated in vain as house painter, but actually needed all artists consent for a mall project.

Prime suspect is rival neighbor farmer Jens Gruber, whose phone proves he was poaching on Wüst's land, compromising his family's treasured hunting rights if found it. Innkeeper and municipal counselor Josef Blattner bought land cheaply from Wüst and sold it with fat profit having it rezoned for construction. Blattner came to have paid Wüst 300 000 Euro hush money, which is ultimately found with another suspect. Meanwhile the precinct buzzes as detective Dirk Bergmann' lies to cover up he lives with lover Marie, having left his boarding house, covered by colleague Stadler, are uncovered by Seitz and Stockl due to expense accounts.

    Der Tod kommt im FlugMartin Sailer (58) was hit on the head by a model airplane, causing a fatal cliff fall. He sold the things and was president of the local club. Prime suspect is the murder weapon's owner: Bernd Möhring, fresh widow -and recent spouse- Judith Sailer's lover, whom Martin fired a day earlier as pool-boy. More motives and suspects are found in business.

    Alles Gute kommt von obenNeighboring town mayor Hubert Leitner demands police chief Achziger personally supervising the fatal dumping of a documents box from a high stock which nearly missed him but killed project developer Friedhelm Kohlmann. Both make plausible targets, as they were believed to plan an outlet mall which would ruin most local shops. Also suspect is his rival in the upcoming mayoral election Anton Linsbauer, but he knew the mayor retracted his support for the project.

Sales clerk Maria Gerstl is the heir due to a mutual contract with her father, from whom Georg bought the shop, while her colleague Yvonne Brand's lover Holger Nistel suspected Georg of seducing her. *
